Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Are your masks N95 masks?
No. Our masks are NOT N95 masks. N95 masks should be reserved for hospital workers and emergency responders who are regularly exposed to high viral loads from infected patients, both from frequent contact as well as medical procedures that can spew tiny viral particles into air. The rest of us don’t need that level of protection.
Do your masks protect against Covid-19?
According to this article in the New York Times, any mask is better than no mask. More experts now say that wearing a non-medical or homemade mask to go the grocery store or pharmacy may be a good idea. Studies of mask use to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, including SARS, another form of coronavirus, show a simple mask can lower risk of infection. The effect is greatest when masks are used along with hand hygiene and social distancing.
“I think the vast amount of data would suggest that the coronavirus is an airborne infection carried by respiratory droplets, and it also can be passed on by direct contact,” said Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University, who recently wrote an article about how the coronavirus behaves inside patients. “The mask works two ways — not only to protect you from me, but me from you.”
How long will my masks take to ship?
Though we always make an effort to ship out as quickly as possible, due to high demand ship times may be 7-10 business days.

Health-care professionals are mixed on the efficacy of homemade face masks, and not all hospitals and clinics accept them.
Nurses shouldn’t wear cloth masks because they don’t afford significant protections, according to American Nurses Association President Dr. Ernest Grant.
The medical community is in dire need of N95 masks. We are providing the best solution for non-medical personnel that is NOT an N95 mask.
The rest of us probably don’t need that level of protection. Our masks are a heavy weight cotton with an optional charcoal filter- designed exclusively for non-medical individuals.
Some medical professionals are using our masks as a last resort, and we can scale our production to meet any demand, so if a hospital or medical organization approaches us with a need, we happily can produce any quantity they need.
The fact of the matter is we need to stop the spread of Coronavirus. Masks help accomplish this. Many reputable officials are recommending everyone wear some sort of covering even if homemade.
